Museums

m1.jpgThe Fuerte de San Diego History Museum in Acapulco is a good place to learn some of the history of the state of Guerrero. The building is pentagon-shaped, and because of this, there are five main exhibition rooms. Exhibits offer unique cultural experiences, including an exhibit devoted to the Yope Indians who defended the building in a heroic resistance to Spanish conqueror HernĂ¡n Cortes. The fort suffered some damage during the 1776 earthquake, but has been restored since then. Today, you can see it in its near-original state.
